Genesis 7

1 And Yehovah said to Noah, “Go with all of your household into the ship, for I have seen your righteousness before Me in this generation. 2 Of every clean animal, you are to take seven and seven for yourself, a male and his female. And of the animals that are not clean, it is two, a male and his female. 3 Also of the birds of the sky, seven and seven, male and female, to keep offspring alive on the face of all the earth. 4 Because after seven days, I will cause it to rain on the earth for 40 days and 40 nights, and will wipe out everything standing that I have made from the face of the earth.” 5 And Noah did according to everything that Yehovah commanded him.

6 Noah was 600 years old and the flood of waters came on the earth. 7 And Noah and his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives went into the ship from the face of the floodwaters. 8 Of the clean animals, and of the unclean animals, and of the birds, and of everything that scurries on the ground 9 two by two they went to Noah into the ship, male and female, as God commanded Noah. 10 And it happened after the seven days. The floodwaters came on the earth. 11 In the 600th year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great underground reservoir burst open, and the sky’s flood gates were opened. 12 And there was rain on the earth 40 days and 40 nights.

13 In the same day Noah, and Shem, Ham, and Yefet—the sons of Noah—and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered into the ship— 14 they, and all animals of every kind, all the large animals of every kind, all the small animals that scurry on the earth of every kind, and every bird of every kind, every bird with wings. 15 And they went to Noah, into the ship, two and two of all flesh with the breath of life in them. 16 And those who went in, male and female of all flesh, went in as God commanded him. And Yehovah shut him in.

17 And the flood was on the earth 40 days. And the waters increased, and lifted up the ship, and it was raised up above the earth. 18 And the waters swelled and increased very much on the earth; and the ship floated on the surface of the waters. 19 And the waters swelled very, very much on the earth, and all the high mountains that were under the whole sky were covered. 20 The waters swelled fifteen cubits higher, and the mountains were covered. 21 And all flesh died that moved on the earth: Birds, large animals, animals, and every prolific thing that abounds on the earth, and all humans. 22 All that breathe the breath of life in their noses of all that was on the dry land, died. 23 Every living thing was wiped out that was on the face of the earth, from man, to large animal, to small animal, and to the birds of the sky. They were wiped off the earth. Only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ship. 24 And the waters swelled on the earth 150 days.
