Genesis 5

1 This is the scroll of the family history of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in God’s resemblance. 2 He created them male and female, and blessed them, and named them Mankind on the day they were created. 3 And Adam lived 130 years, and had a son in his own resemblance, according to his shape, and named him Shet. 4 The days of Adam after he had Shet were 800 years, and he had more sons and daughters. 5 All the days that Adam lived were 930 years, and he died.

6 And Shet lived 105 years, and had Enosh. 7 And after Shet had Enosh, he lived 807 years, and had more sons and daughters. 8 All of the days of Shet were 912 years, and he died.

9 And Enosh lived 90 years, and had Kenan. 10 And after Enosh had Kenan, he lived 815 years, and had more sons and daughters. 11 All of the days of Enosh were 905 years, and he died.

12 And Kenan lived 70 years, and had Mahalalel. 13 And after Kenan had Mahalalel, he lived 840 years, and had more sons and daughters. 14 And all of the days of Kenan were 910 years, and he died.

15 And Mahalalel lived 65 years, and had Yered. 16 And after Mahalalel had Yered, he lived 830 years, and had more sons and daughters. 17 All of the days of Mahalalel were 895 years, and he died.

18 And Yered lived one 162 years, and had Enoch. 19 And after Yered had Enoch, he lived 800 years, and had more sons and daughters. 20 All of the days of Yered were 962 years, and he died.

21 And Enoch lived 65 years, and had Metushelaḥ. 22 And after Enoch had Metushelaḥ, he walked with God for 300 years, and had more sons and daughters. 23 And all the days of Enoch were 365 years. 24 And Enoch walked with God, and he disappeared, because God took him.

25 And Metushelaḥ lived 187 years, and had Lamech. 26 And after Metushelaḥ had Lamech, he lived 782 years, and had more sons and daughters. 27 All the days of Metushelaḥ were 969 years, and he died.

28 And Lamech lived 182 years, and had a son. 29 And he named him Noah (which means Rest), saying, “This one will comfort us from our work and from the toil of our hands, caused by the ground which Yehovah has cursed.” 30 And after Lamech had Noah, he lived 595 years, and had more sons and daughters. 31 All the days of Lamech were 777 years, and he died.

32 And Noah was 500 years old, and Noah had Shem, Ham, and Yefet.
