Psalms 91

1 He who stays in the hiding place of the Most Highwill abide in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of Yehovah, “He is my refuge and my fortress;my God, in whom I trust.” 3 For He will deliver you from the snare of the bird-catcher,and from the deadly plague. 4 He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and shell. 5 You will not be afraid of the terror of night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; 6 nor of the plague that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that destroys midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand;but it will not come near you. 8 You will only look with your eyes, and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because you have made Yehovah your shelter, and the Most High your residence, 10 nothing bad will happen to you,nor will any plague come near your tent. 11 Because He will command His angels concerning you,to guard you in all your ways. 12 They will lift you up in their hands,so you won’t hit your foot on a stone. 13 You will stomp on lions and cobras. You will walk all over young lions and snakes. 14 “Because he loves Me, I will rescue him.I will put him high up out of reach, because he knows My name. 15 He will call on Me, and I will answer him.I will be with him in trouble.I will rescue him and honor him. 16 I will satisfy him with long life, and show him My deliverance.”
