God's Holy Days, October 2024
On Thursday, October 3, 2024, people around the world will gather together to celebrate the biblical Feast of Trumpets.
This day represents the 1-year period called the “Day of the Lord,” when God will judge the world with the seven trumpet plagues described in Revelation 8-9.
When the last trumpet is blown, Jesus Christ will appear in the sky, and the prophets, apostles, and many other righteous people will rise from their graves to meet Him in the air (1 Corinthians 15:51-53). This will mark the beginning of the Kingdom of God, which is the good news that Jesus preached when He was on earth (Revelation 11:15; Mark 1:14-15).
Next, on October 12, is the Day of Atonement. God commands everyone to humble themselves with fasting on this day (Leviticus 23:27-32).
Leviticus 16 describes a ceremony that was performed on the Day of Atonement with two goats. One goat represented Jesus Christ, and the other one represented Azazel (Satan). The goat representing Jesus Christ was sacrificed for the sins of the people, and on this day (when Christ returns), the way to forgiveness will be opened to everyone (Zechariah 13:1-2).
The goat representing Satan was sent away into the wilderness, just like Satan will be banished for 1,000 years after the “Battle of Armageddon,” which will also occur on the Day of Atonement (Revelation 20:1-3).
From October 17-23 is the Feast of Tabernacles. This feast represents the 1,000-year rule of Jesus Christ on earth (Revelation 20:4-6).
Then on October 24 will be the “Eighth Day” (Leviticus 23:36), which is the greatest of all, and if you want to know what it means, you should keep it, because the Bible says, “A good understanding have all those who do His commandments” (Psalm 111:10).
God says the purpose for keeping His feasts is to “learn to fear the LORD your God always” (Deuteronomy 14:23). God also commands us to rejoice at these feasts, and what a joy they are! (Deuteronomy 14:26; Nehemiah 8:10-12).

Did you know that when Jesus Christ returns, He will require everyone to keep “the Feasts of the LORD”?
Read it for yourself: “And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.” – Zechariah 14:16-18, NKJV

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill…. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” – Matthew 5:17, 19, NKJV
“For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men… All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.” – Mark 7:8-9, NKJV
